Al Schmitt (born 1930, died 2021) was a legendary recording engineer and producer who worked with Frank Sinatra, Steely Dan, George Benson, Toto, Natalie Cole, Quincy Jones, and many more. He won 20 Grammy Awards and was the first mixing engineer to receive a star on Hollywood’s Walk of Fame.
