As with hardware mixing environments, DAWs are capable of complex routing and monitoring with plenty of options for inputs and outputs – except without all the cables. Ableton Live‘s routing is performed in both the Session View and Arrangement View, but it’s easy to gloss over some of the features available to you in both views.
